What is Profhilo?

Does Profhilo hurt?

Profhilo is an injectable treatment, meaning it can cause some discomfort like any injection, but most people find it manageable.
To minimise your discomfort, we apply a numbing cream prior to your treatment. After each injection, you may feel a tingling sensation but this will subside within a couple of hours.

What does Profhilo treat?

Who can get Profhilo done?

Most people from the age of 30 and up are suitable for Profhilo as it is a great treatment for anyone who wants to maintain firm, healthy skin.

It is also beneficial for those who are starting to notice the first signs of aging, including fine lines or looser/sagging skin.

Getting Profhilo as a preventative is a great way to preserve your youthful look — by strengthening the skin's collagen and elastin, and by increasing its hydration levels.

What happens during a profhilo treatment?

We will begin by steaming your face and giving you a basic facial to ensure your skin is clean and free from any other creams, makeup, moisturisers, or topical treatments.

During your Dermaplaning treatment, a surgical blade is moved across the skin at a 45° angle to remove dead/congested skin from your face.

This will also remove fine hair & ‘peach fuzz making your skin glow and removing any dullness in the skin, and the new layer of healthy skin cells helps create a smoother, more youthful look.

What are the benefits of Profhilo?

Profhilo stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin production in the skin. Doing so remodels sagging and aging skin to restore firmness and a youthful complexion.

Treatment with Profhilo improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall glow. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin.

Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenating the neck, decollete, arms, knees and hands.

How long does it take to see results FROM PROFHILO?

The improvements to the quality of your skin, and the lifting and tightening effect, develop subtly over several weeks. While you may see an improvement immediately after the first treatment, the best results are visible around 4 weeks after the second treatment.

What happens after my treatment?

After your treatment is finished, you will be given a specific set of aftercare instructions. These will also be explained to you by your clinician.  

We recommend that you avoid aerobic or intense physical activity until all redness has subsided.

Further after care includes using SPF 30+ at all times – even if it’s cloudy outside.

Do I need a consultation?

All of our clients first come in for a consultation. The consultation is there to talk you through your options, give you a patch test and check for any medical issues. The consultation costs £50 but this comes off the price of the treatment package that you go with. At your consultation, one of our nurse clinicians will talk you through options and get you booked in for your first treatment.
